In proposal management, business development assessment, and technical writing and editing projects, there is no single correct way to succeed. At PP&A, we believe the only ‘right’ approach is to tailor our basic, flexible processes to the way you do business, to your specific industry, to your objectives, and to your audience.
PP&A’s flexibility is effective because we work shoulder-to-shoulder with you and your staff. We don’t think in terms of ‘us’ or ‘them’. We think in terms of The Proposal Team or simply The Team. This flexibility and viewpoint are the most important differences between PP&A and all other proposal management, business development, and technical writing/editing firms.
PP&A proposal managers, writers, editors, and desktop publishers are not bound by any one process simply because we understand that proposals and other forms of business development products are not off-the-shelf efforts. You’d think this would be an obvious observation. Our competitors, however, believe the ‘right’ way to prepare proposals is to make the client, and the proposal, bend to their specific ‘tried and true’ process. To us, this approach is like forcing that round peg into the square hole. In contrast, PP&A proposal managers and technical writers/editors bend the process to fit the client and the product.
Why Our Flexible Approach Will Work For You
We tailor our proposal management, writing, editing, and desktop publishing approach to your specific needs and goals. For example, some companies already have excellent writers but don’t have the RFP or government proposal writing experience that could move your proposal from a ‘might’ win to a ‘should’ win. Other companies may have incredibly great ideas but don’t feel comfortable or confident enough with the written part of the work. For either of these scenarios and all of those in between, PP&A can advise, coach, and execute. We’re flexible.
For those with some proposal writing experience, we can provide schedules, road maps, and proposal templates designed to promote both readability and visual appeal while staying compliant with the requirements of the RFP or document guidelines. If you’d rather, we can work closely with your technical experts and write the proposal for you. We can also edit, re-write, check for compliance, and/or critique what you’ve already written.
