Professionals to the Core

All PP&A staff members are proposal, communication and business development professionals. Our firm is comprised of primarily full-time staff with background and experience in communications, technical writing, editing, design, graphics layout and design, desktop publishing and document production, as opposed to a network of on-call stringers. We also maintain a stable of subject matter experts, and agency and program experts that we access when appropriate.

 

Peg Peterson
President
Peg has more than 20 years experience in business development. She is an engineer by education and has served on source selection evaluation boards as an employee of the U.S. Air Force. This combination of technical education and proposal evaluation experience, coupled with her tenure developing proposals in the private sector for such well-known companies as Arthur D. Little, Inc. (ADL) and Dynamics Research Corporation (DRC), endow her with a unique set of skills that she applies to help PP&A clients sustain win rates well above the industry average.

Brian Gressler
Senior Technical Writer
Brian has over 8 years of experience developing and writing marketing material and proposals aimed at both public and private audiences. He has managed proposals for both Fortune 500 firms and small businesses whose clients include the U.S. Army, NASA, the Department of Homeland Security, and the governments of the United Kingdom and Israel. Along the way, he has provided writing and editing expertise, ensuring that proposals are not only compliant, but also on message. Formerly a software Product Manager, he brings a thorough understanding of product lifecycle to PP&A. In addition to marketing and proposal work, he has developed and written business plans, researched and developed products, sold those products directly, written user manuals, conducted end-user training and contributed to large scale research projects in the technology industry.

Barbara Mottola
Senior Proposal Specialist
Barbara has 15+ years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, proposal writing, technical editing and training specializing in the information technology, environment, engineering and management fields. She is an expert in multi-tier project planning, budget development, scheduling, management of cross-organizational and cross-functional teams, issue tracking and resolution, and tool and manpower needs assessment. She is also practiced in requirements gathering and writing, business process redesign, standards definition and implementation, project facilitation and meeting management, in addition to all phases of document production. She can communicate at both technical and managerial levels and specializes in presentation content and presenter training.
